Jamaica is the perfect paradise for surfing, so it is no surprise that it has hundreds of miles of coastline. The potential for surfing here is endless, it just depends on what you’re looking for.

If you’re a beginner looking to learn some basic skills and waves in a safe area, then the most popular spot would be Negril beach because it’s less crowded and you can find little breaks that are easier to ride.

If you’ve been surfing all your life and want something more challenging, head a bit north or south to find some fast-flowing waves that can get up to six feet high. If you are looking to travel to Jamaica anytime soon and you love to surf, here is our list of the best spots on the island to surf.

Boston Bay has some of the best surf in all of Jamaica, so it’s not surprising that it draws so many visitors each year. In fact, those who come from outside Jamaica might find Boston Bay to be one of their favorite places on earth.

Boston Bay is a great place for both beginners and experts alike because there are waves for everyone. You can spend your whole day at Boston Bay or you could spend just an hour or two if you want to check out other parts of this gorgeous shoreline.

Lighthouse is a famous tourist attraction in Jamaica. It is located near the Norman Manley International Airport. The swells  are decent enough for surfing in the area.

You may have heard of Makka before if you are a surfer. This small beach in Jamaica is a world-class surfing spot and has been attracting surfers from all over the world for years.

There are many reasons why surfers love to take on the swells at Makka. The spot has an amazing view, it is safe for beginners, and the waves are not too big. There is also no need to get on a boat or take a ferry because you can walk into the water from shoreline.
